Cheerleading

Update: The October 2nd home football game against Blacksburg on will begin at 6:00 pm, instead of the 6:30 pm originally scheduled.  

Cheer Tryout Update: 

Anyone interested in trying out for the middle school cheer team are encouraged to attend open gyms every Wednesday, April 2nd-May 21st 5:30-7:30pm. Please wear athletic clothing and athletic tennis shoes/ cheer shoes, hair should be pulled out of your face and bring water! Tryouts will be held over two days, May 22nd and 23rd from 5:30-7:30 pm. The first day will be spent learning material and day 2 will be 45 minutes of review and the evaluations will follow. All open gyms and tryouts will be in the GMS Auxiliary Gym. On 5/23 please wear a plain black top and black shorts, tennis/cheer shoes, and your hair in a ponytail. You must have a valid VHSL physical on file with Ms. Wakeland to participate in all activities.  If you have any questions please reach out to Coach Lucas, clucas@rcps.us
