Registration 2026-2027
Current 5th grade (Rising 6th Grade):
- January 7 & 9 – Registration Presentations at GES, MCES, FLES
- Students will take home recommended courses and choose an elective for 6th grade
- Get form signed and return to homeroom teacher
- January 12 – deadline to return Registration Form to homeroom teacher
- Jan TBD – Course Request Verifications will be sent home for final review
- You are reviewing that the correct classes were entered and no changes need to be made. Sign and return.
- Return to your child’s homeroom teacher by date on form.
- April – elementary tours of GMS

Current 6th grade (Rising 7th Grade):
December 2 – Mrs. Noell met with 6th grade students to discuss class options for 7th grade. Student need to choose 1 elective and return their signed forms by December 5.
- Students will bring home a gray form that has their Teacher Recommendations for their core courses listed at the top (math, English, science, history) and the elective options.
- Students and parents will select one elective on the form.
- If you review the Teacher Recommendations and feel that a change needs to be made to the course recommended, please indicate that on the form before returning it.
- Parent signature is required on all forms.
- Students must return form to their English teacher by December 5.

Current 7th grade (Rising 8th Grade):
December 4, 8, 9 – Mrs. Noell will be in English 7 classes to discuss the registration process and elective options with students. (4th – Burkhart, 8th – Hudgins, 9th – Murrill)
December 5-12 – Mrs. Noell will meet with students individually during their English class to review elective choices and answer any questions.
What to expect:
- Students will bring home yellow forms that have their Teacher Recommendations for their core classes listed at the top (math, English, science, history) and the elective options and descriptions.
- Students and parents will select 7 electives on the form in order of preference.
- If you review the Teacher Recommendations and feel that a change needs to be made to the course recommended, please indicate that on the form before returning it.
- Parent signature is required on all forms.
- Students must turn this form in to their English teacher the next day.
- I realize this is a quick turnaround; the final course request will be sent home in January for parent/student review and signature to ensure everything is correct.
